You know how sometimes you say something but then wish you could stuff the words back in your mouth?

Do you think maybe Rupert Everett feels that way?

Here's how he sounded off on two people we all know in London's Daily Mirror.

(Who's Rupert Everett, you ask? He's the guy who played Julia Roberts best friend in "My Best Friend's Wedding." And I think he was Julianne Moore's best friend in another movie.)

On Michael Jackson: "He was a freak. He looked like a character from 'Shrek.' He was a black-to-white minstrel."

(Oh yeah, this guy was the voice of Prince Charming in "Shrek 2," too.)

He apparently wasn't looking forward to the King of Pop's series of comeback concerts in London. "It wouldn't have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn't have managed to do all of them and the press would have destroyed him," Everett said. "I think it was fortuitous that he died."
